Thank you for visiting this website today!!  My name is  Dave Aucoin and I serve as the President of the Rhode Island Family Institute formerly the Family Policy Alliance of Rhode Island. In today's broken world, the battle requires not only courage but a steadfast commitment to make meaningful strides in support of families amid the complexities of today’s culture war. This endeavor is not for the faint of heart; it calls for individuals who are willing to stand firm in their beliefs and advocate passionately for the values that uplift families. We can navigate the challenges that lie ahead and create an environment where God is honored, religious liberty flourishes, families thrive and life is cherished. Let us embrace this important journey together, recognizing that our actions today lay the foundation for a more hopeful and resilient future for generations to come.

Rhode Island Family Institute Has Partnered With

“Christians Engaged”

Christian’s Engaged exists to motivate Christians to get out to PRAY, VOTE and ENGAGE in electing godly leaders. Sadly, a large percentage of Christians neglect to even vote come election day. That must change if we are going to preserve parental rights and religious freedom in America!

It’s critical for us to be salt and light, and engage in such a way as to make an impact on our culture that has pushed God aside. PRAYER and VOTING has changed that in the past and it can do it again if we will do our part!

Join with thousands of believers and take the Christians Engaged Pledge and start building a habit of voting in every election. They want to be your civic-engagement ministry partner, and help you to be informed on the hot topics of our day from a biblical perspective.

Christians Engaged NEVER endorses candidates or political parties.

I had the privilege of spending an awesome week in Washington D.C. with three of our Rhode Island Senators: Jessica de la Cruz - Republican Minority Leader; Elaine J. Morgan - Deputy Minority Whip and Anthony P. Deluca II – Committee on Judiciary and Commerce (Warwick).

Legislators from many states attended the academy and more than 400 people from across America attended the second annual So Con Con 2024, a social conservative policy conference where 150+ conservative organizations were represented. The speakers and workshops were some of the best in the nation but in addition to that, all three senators had a chance to be part of a growing network of like-minded legislators with shared values.

In addition to the conference, there was some free time to visit the DC Bible Museum. I have visited the Bible Museum before on several occasions, but this time I made it a point to visit the HOLOCAUST MUSEUM.

Everyone should see it! One person I know described the museum as ‘TRAGICALLY WELL-DONE!’

I have to agree and it is a reminder that we must never let it happen again. Antisemitism is on the rise in the U.S. especially on our college campuses. And internationally, there is a present-day effort challenging Israel’s right to even exist.

Right here in Rhode Island, I have gotten to know and appreciate Howard Brown who leads RICI – the Rhode Island Coalition for Israel. It’s made up of Christians and Jews, who share Judeo-Christian values. They volunteer together based on their common faith in God’s promise to Abraham about the land of Israel and the view that Jewish people have a right to a safe and secure homeland in Israel. There are ways we can now help Israel right here in Rhode Island. Visit their website www.ricoalitionforisrael.org

"What Has Changed Since Recreational Marijuana Was Legalized?"

RIFI has a new outreach! We would love to come to your church and present a forty-five minute mini-workshop that will bring knowledge and awareness to you with information such as, getting a handle on marijuana policy, how families are being affected, pot shops on the arise, gummies and candy, and a view of the devastating effects on other states that have legalized it.
